Of Tennessee's 22 signees for the 2009 class, only six aren’t enrolled for the first session of summer school.
Defensive back Eric Gordon, defensive lineman Marlon Walls, receiver Zach Rogers, defensive back Michael Edwards, linebacker Jerod Askew and receiver James Green are all expected to enroll for the second session of summer school in July barring any unforeseen eligibility issues.
At this point, it looks as if the Vols will be without a single academic casualty.

I challenge each of you to accomplish the following:
(1) Dedicate yourself today to get your degree. You have a great opportunity to get a free education. Take advantage of it.
(2) Stay out of trouble and make mature decisions.

Smith was the USC (Columbia) S/C coach, he is currently ours, but not for long (from the rumors I have heard). He will be kept on as something (because we arent just going to pay him 100% of his salary to go away), and we will hire someone else.

Nice post but being athletic scholarship is anything but free. They give up a ton of time including summers and many Friday nights. Usually takes four and half years unless you go to summer school, not to mention life long injuries and medical problems you incur getting this free education. Is it worth it YES but it is not free. I have two sons on scholarships. Go Vols
