Creer to transfer to Louisiana Tech

Multiple media reports this week have former University of Tennessee running back Lennon Creer to transfer to Louisiana Tech.

"I've talked with three coaches affiliated with Lennon and all three said he told them he was choosing Tech over Tulsa," said David Smoak of radio station KTBB in Tyler, Texas. Creer was a star player at Tatum (Texas) High School.

Smoak said that Creer was to enroll Thursday, the first day of summer classes at Louisiana Tech.

The 6-foot-1, 202-pound Creer would have two years of eligibility remaining and would have to sit out this season per NCAA transfer rules.

Creer rushed for 388 yards and averaged 5.3 yards per carry and scored four touchdowns last season.
