Pauline Davis-Thompson has resigned as assistant coach with the Tennessee women's track and field team.

Davis-Thompson coached sprints, jumps and hurdles for two years, 2008 as a volunteer aide and 2009 as a full-time assistant.

No reason was given for her resignation. Whether it is part of a restructuring of the UT track program remains to be seen.

Tennessee is considering whether to hire a men's head coach to replace Bill Webb, who retired, or to name a director of track and field for a combined men's and women's program.
