Golf: Webb's Henderson signs with UT

Webb’s Leigh Henderson has signed to play golf at Tennessee, according to a release from the UT women’s sports information department.

Henderson will be the third newcomer on the 2009-10 UT women’s golf team, joining Erica Popson, of Davenport, Fla., and Sara Monberg, of Denmark.

Henderson was runner-up at the Division II Class AA Tennessee state tournament in 2007 and placed third at the 2008 state tournament this past October. This past season she was named the News Sentinel’s PrepXtra girls golfer of the year.
