Maybe they should put some teeth into secondary violations, but nothing too harsh. Perhaps if they fined the coach guilty of the violation say $500 or $1,000 after the third one in a period of one year.
Treat it like cops treat running a stop sign or a minor speeding violation. If a coach was having to pay some money out of their own pocket they might think twice about saying or doing something wrong.
Secondary violations do not usually bother me. What does bother me a bit is that CLK seems to have a disregard for the rules. I understand that Saban and others also push the envelope, but we do not want to be in the same category with those programs.
TN has always been know for following rules, and I would like to retain that reputation.
you slackjawed ignorant peckerheaded azzclown.do you ever read anything before you post??i was accusing NO ONE.If you would take a second and read you would see i was responding to kiffownsfla about these kns polls.i was not flaming the vols or vol fans.you are a fool. You never answered me before. How do you type while wearing that straight jacket??like a chicken pecking corn? answer me indianabootybandit.
Florida has 2 since last June. I don't know where you're getting your facts but that is correct nor is OSU b/c they only have like 375. Anyways secondary violations aren't a big deal but if a coach doesn't know the rules enough not to do them & comes from a school that is under investigation I would worry that maybe he has a disregard for the rules & it will result in some sort of sanctions.

I'm all for them if used prudently and care is taken to avoid giving opposing coaches the vapors.
