Co-head coach Sonia Hahn-Patrick pulled at least one positive away from the 12th-ranked Lady Vols’ 5-2 loss Sunday to No. 2 Notre Dame at UT Varsity Courts.
“One good thing about these types of matches is that they allow you to see some of the areas where you need to continue to improve,” Hahn-Patrick said. “Even though we didn’t win, we learned a lot about ourselves today that, hopefully, will help us throughout the rest of the season.”
Bright spots were victories by Samantha Orlin at No. 3 and Jennifer Meredith at No. 5.
At No. 2 Natalie Pluskota took Kristy Frilling, ranked 49th nationally, to the limit before falling 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 (2).
The Lady Vols dropped to 10-3, while Notre Dame improved to 16-2.

Cheer, Cheer for old Notre Dame! It was nice stopping by to give y'all a tennis lesson. Don't forget to watch the #1 ranked Irish ice hockey team in the Frozen Four! Oh, our men's basketball team is playing too!
