White leaving Ole Miss basketball team

OXFORD, Miss. — Ole Miss forward Malcolm White has decided to transfer.

White, a native of Baton Rouge, La., says he wants to complete his collegiate career closer to his family.

Coach Andy Kennedy praised the sophomore’s contributions to the team and wished him the best Thursday.

White averaged 7.2 points and 5.7 rebounds in 31 games, 27 starts, this season. He also ranked among SEC leaders with 43 blocked shots.
