Parker, Manning win Kids Choice Awards

Kids agree on something University of Tennessee fans have known all along.

Candace Parker of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks was selected favorite female athlete and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning was named top male athlete Saturday at the Kids Choice Awards.

The two former UT stars were honored by winning the voting by fans across the country at the 22nd annual slime-filled Nickelodeon spectacle held inside UCLA's Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles.

Payton's brother Cooper said it best. Payton deserved the Heisman, the Heisman didn't deserve Payton.

Please explain this...when Paul Hornung beat Johnny Majors for the "heistman", he played for a Notre Dame team that only won 3 games. So much for a championship team...Guess that shoots your theory.....

Sometimes our children can teach the adults the basics of life. By choosing Candace and Peyton, the kids picked wonderful role models, who demonstrate hard work, good academics, love of family, and good values. Congratulations to both Candace and Peyton!
