First?

PepperGrinder (Inactive) writes:

Well I thought I was going to be first. I cant wait to see how they utilize Bryce Brown. I hope to see him utilized as a reciever. He made Tajh Boyd look good in the Army game.

PepperGrinder (Inactive) writes:

"I'm especially interested to see UF's defense get its hands on Bryce Brown and Nukeese Richardson."

Still hurt Nukeese chose Tennessee and want to see him punished? In regards to BB. Good luck. This kid will be like a blur. What's that? Oh it's just Bryce Brown running by you.

KNS why dont you just IP ban these interlopers. Surely you are capable.

PepperGrinder (Inactive) writes:

And we are all already aware of the medias love affair with Tim Tebow.

belayvol writes:

I want to see the whole Offense. I am looking foward to a nice suprise. If this team gels, it can rock.

PepperGrinder (Inactive) writes:

You're right nobody runs away from Florida players. Just past them.

PepperGrinder (Inactive) writes:

Just entertaining myself here DC. Though it is a little ridiculous that some Florida fans think the Gators are the only ones with speed.

I cant wait to see them use Tebow under center this year. It seems like a great way to reduce his effectiveness. So thanks in advance.

PepperGrinder (Inactive) writes:

"Good, he'll have lots of opportunities on UF kickoffs in September. Don't expect many punt return chances for him though."

I dont know about that. Our D was exceptionally good last year. I expect them to be better this year. Ole Timmy T had what 123 yards last year?

belayvol writes:

Just like a fine tuned football team, we all have our roles here at this fine institution called GVX. Gatorzz,DC,Butch, sabanated are the designated Soap Retrieval Boys. The sooner they accept the role they were given, the sooner we all get along.

Yeah I think Chavis did an excellent job last year. And the team did a good job stopping Florida short several times. I dont think this years game will be similar to 2007. Our defense will not be a problem and our offense will be drastically improved.

While I hope that the UT/UF game will be in no way similar to 07 I hope your season turns out similarily. :)

There was a reason for that. Florida did not want the guy anyway.

I'm sure many Florida fans were thinking the same thing prior to Ole Miss last year.

Rich, don't try to post clear, concise reasoning to a fantasy spewing group like that. They are all world and nobody can convince them otherwise. Some people you just have to show the hard way. I wonder if they can learn after the number beside the L column goes higher?

Haden and company coming back is not 100% percent. Somebody else will probably get arrested before the season starts.

in regards to your last sentence, a lot of people run away from flarduh players. its the flarduh players ex-girlfriends running for their lives after some goon violates their restraining order

I think if Tennessee plays great like you say, then the game is much closer than 2 touchdowns. Playing great means offense, defense, and special teams plays great. So if we play great we just might win. There is a difference in us playing great and The Citadel playing great.

They may not put up the same stats, but i think they will be a better unit!

the running back coach has got to be pretty excited as well.

I feel your pain RR. It amazes me some times to see Vol fans abuse each other when there are plenty of opprotunities to slap the lopers. Opinions are just that. Real info is hard to come by and i appreciate it all. I do not get to the Hill like i used to.

That's a good question. I hope they are head and shoulders above last couple of years. And actually tackle somebody.

I hope Quarterback isn't a group of players. A good running game can make a quarterback a lot better and I think Crompton will be the man. If the defense respects the play action then we should be able to throw. So I am excited to see the running backs.

I am also excited to see our RBs. If they can run well this year (which I think they can) it will be huge for us! Anything to help take pressure off of our QB.

As far as the score of the Florida game this year I have no idea but one thing I do know, if Florida doesn't at least put 50 on us and beat us by 21 or more it will be a failure for them. Because of Kiffin's comments ESPN along with everyone else says FL will pound us this year putting a whole lot of points on us. Not only does FL have to beat us but they better beat us by a lot! The pressure is on them. Beating us by 14 or less won't be good enough.

Don't mean to disrespect, but you're a little over the top the last few days. Many of us appreciate your input along with the input of others (e.g. UTF4L, CTVol, TJ, etc.). In the words of a deceased family friend, "don't let the bastards get you down."

WOW! I am surprised at the numbers. I think it is a given with the talent and depth we have in the backfield, that the running game will be exciting to watch. I however am most anticipating in seeing what the "Ogre" will have done with the D-line. I think it wil be the most improved of all!!! GO VOLS, ORANGE SWARM BABY, GET ABOARD OR GET THE F@#K OUT OF THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you are right, but I don't see it. Look at Florida's schedule for this year:

Sat. April 18 Orange and Blue Spring Game 1:00 P.M.
Sat. Sept. 5 Charleston Southern
Sat. Sept. 12 Troy
Sat. Sept. 19 Tennessee
Sat. Sept. 26 at Kentucky (Lexington KY)
Sat. Oct. 10 at LSU (Baton Rouge LA)
Sat. Oct. 17 Arkansas (Homecoming)
Sat. Oct. 24 at Mississippi State (Starkville MS)
Sat. Oct. 31 Georgia (Jacksonville FL)
Sat. Nov. 7 Vanderbilt
Sat. Nov. 14 at South Carolina (Columbia SC)
Sat. Nov. 21 Florida International
Sat. Nov. 28 Florida State (Senior Day)

If they don't go undefeated this year, it should be a disappointment for them!

DC,

The real reason the difference will be is this staff is not the same ole same ole, good ole boys network of coaches. They BELIEVE in hard work, discipline, film room, weight room, field attitude, team attitude, and most importantly " a desired winning attitude" !!

I will not guarantee a win,but this will be a replay of the '06 game, with ANY,ANY, type of q.b. play this year from this squad, its all a new game.

Last years game IMO, was won on special teams play, three returns that the gators made were the difference in the game;other than that, we pretty much shut you down.I don't expect this staff to OVERLOOK our biggest weakness,it WILL NOT happen.

The SEC and beyond are talking for a reason, its just not because we have a new coach or two;its due to the fact that this TEAM has NEW ATTITUDE !!

In the words of Admiral Yamamoto after Pearl Harbor; "I am afraid we have awakened a sleeping giant".

How do you know Florida lost a football game?

Mobile home sales go down by 47% the next day.

belayvol writes:

How many bedrooms do gator mobile homes have?

None, They sleep in the tub.

And one last shot, What do all gator tombstones have written on them?

Gucci.

Why do gator fans not remove the wheels from house trailers?

It makes it easier to tailgate down at The Swamp.

Nobody inside works for a living and the smell of poop is evident from a mile away.

Woo Woo! Looks like a lot of leg humping going on between Timmy and the Cryer. Tebow is a great player, but you only have him for one more year. Also, he is the class of the Gators; wonder what your identity will become once he's gone? The class leaves with Tebow. So do the championships . . . We'll see what Urb's way of getting on ESPN is then. Wooooo!
