NASHVILLE - Alex Washington gave the Vanderbilt offense a much-needed jolt Saturday, picking up 114 total yards on consecutive plays during the Black & Gold scrimmage.
The senior receiver scored on a 75-yard pass play, then set up a touchdown with a 39-yard reverse to loosen up what had been a rock-solid defense during the early stages of the 17-series, 75-play scrimmage inside Vanderbilt Stadium.
