18 former Lady Vols to be honored today

The University of Tennessee will spotlight 18 former Lady Vols between the first and second game of today's softball doubleheader against Alabama that starts at 1 p.m. at Lee Softball Stadium. The former players are featured "In the Footsteps of Champions" written by Debby Shriver.

Shriver's book provides a look into the first 30 years of Lady Vol athletics with first-person stories from coaches and student-athletes and photographs. The following individuals will be spotlighted for their place in Lady Vol history:

Sharrieffa Barksdale, track and field; Sarah Blum, volleyball; Liz Brown-Jarvis, swimming and diving; Kathy Bryant, track and field; Catherine Byrne-Maloney, swimming and diving; Linda Evers, tennis; Sarah Fekete-Bailey, softball; Alisa Harvey, track and field; Rosemarie Hauch, track and field; Missy Kane-Bemiller, track and field/cross country; Jenny McGrath-Weaver, swimming and diving; Susan Thornton, track and field; Adrienne "Buffy" Walker-Chery, softball; Delisa Walton, track and field; Denise Wood, track and field; Benita Fitzgerald, track and field; Joetta Clark, track and field; Dee Dee Trotter, track and field.
