The Tennessee Lady Vols softball team failed to place a member on the first-team All-SEC team for the first time since 2002.

That was the first year UT co-head coaches Ralph and Karen Weekly took over the program.

Junior Tiffany Huff remains an All-American candidate with a .421 batting average and team-high 65 RBIs.

But Huff, also a strong defensive catcher, was only a second team All-SEC selection, she batted .333 in 25 SEC games with one home run and 13 RBIs.

The Lady Vols were also shutout of making the 10-member SEC All-Defensive team.

UT freshman pitcher Cat Hosfield made the 13-member All-SEC freshman team, as did third baseman/relief pitcher Jessica Spigner.

Spigner has a UT-freshman record 14 home runs, but she hasn't hit one in 16 games, dating back to an April 5 game at LSU.

Senior Lillian Hammond was named SEC softball's Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
