Whoriskey falls in first round of NCAA tennis

For the second straight season, UT junior Caitlin Whoriskey was ousted in the in the first round of the NCAA singles tournament.

Whoriskey, ranked No. 34, fell to No. 30 Reka Zsilinszka of Duke, 6-3, 6-2 on Wednesday in College Station, Texas. Zsilinszka was named the Most Valuable Player for the team portion of the NCAA tournament where she led the Blue Devils to the national title.

Back in January during a tournament, Whoriskey edged Zsilinszka 7-5, 2-6, 7-5.
