MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — Although he is just days from concluding his junior year at Ooltewah High School, Jacques Smith knew Friday was the final track competition of his high school career.
Smith plans to graduate in December, then enroll at the University of Tennessee in January, hoping to get a head start on his college football career.
“I actually did think about it on the way to the track today,” Smith said. “I almost got a little emotional thinking about how I wouldn’t be competing in track anymore and this was it as far as my high school career goes.
“I’ve got football this fall, of course, but it was a weird feeling coming here today.”

Love the personal desire in getting there early, Jacques. It paid big dividends for Montori and the team.

This is not news. I repeat, this is not news. I would rather know why Adam Landon didn't win American Idol.

First of all, this is a football board. Second, his life style cost him. I am glad America has stood for some morals finally. Now back to football, welcome Jacques.

either talk about The Vol Nation or get the hell off of here and that goes for anyone off topic and ESPECIALLY the 'lopers."
volpreacher writes:
I could vomit too when I think of two guys or two girls kissing. But you didn't read all my post obviously. I said this was a football board. Go Vols.

Keep your self righteous intolerant views to yourself trollpreacher. Like you said, it's a football board.
I'm sure there's a choir you can preach to somewhere that is filled with as much hate as you.

Intolerant of prejudice and hate? Guilty
Hate that people want to apply their religion and politics where it doesn't belong? Guilty
When people bring their politics and religion onto this board or make negative comments about other's race, political affiliation, gender, or sexual preferences, I have always and will continue to tell them where to shove it.
There are plenty of websites for those type discussions and debates and this one just does not happen to be godhatesfags.com . Like I said before, there are plenty of sites out there for those who are truly intolerant and preach hate.

Who? Was that the kid with the funny haircut, the mascara and the black fingernails? It's possible that he (?) lost some votes because of that alone. Personally, I thought Ziggy Stardust went out of style in the 70's.
The only "American Idol" that's had any kind of staying power is Carrie Underwood. Kelly Clarkson was next but she had more staying power at the buffet table. The rest are more than forgettable. Kind of like what's happened in Nashville with country music in general. Forgettable. But I digress as that's a hot button with me. Back to football.
