You know you're making waves in the SEC when a rule is named for you.
In 2004, the SEC passed the so-called Fulmer Rule, which established guidelines for turning over information about possible rules violations. The reason: Then-Tennessee Coach Phillip Fulmer had gotten carried away with his Columbo act.
Two years ago, the SEC developed the Saban Rule, which banned head coaches from off-campus recruiting during the spring evaluation period. It was named for Alabama Coach Nick Saban, whose hands-on recruiting style was making waves.
Now, get ready for the Kiffin Rule.

All this banter's been going on in the SEC for decades but Urbie's decided he owns the conference, so he's continually crying to Mikey. "Hey, Mikey, Lane's talking mean about me again. Go get him! Let's face it. All these secondary violations have led to a respectable recruiting cass for '09 and will easily be at least top 5 in '10. Let 'em cry.
