Tennessee senior track standout Sarah Bowman was named SEC Women’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season Monday.
Bowman, who owns a 3.87 grade-point average in business, is a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member.
Bowman is a nine-time All-American and three-time NCAA champion in middle and long distances, helping Tennessee win the 2009 NCAA Indoor team trophy in March.
Bowman was one of five Lady Vols making the All-SEC Team. She joins 100-meter hurdles champion, senior Celriece Law, and 800 champ, junior Phoebe Wright, on the first team. Second-team honors went to sophomore Annie Alexander, runner-up in the discus throw, and junior Jackie Areson, the second-place finisher in the 5,000 meters.
All-Freshman team members are Laquoya Kelly (6th, hammer throw), Michele Levy (17th, 10,000 meters), Chanelle Price (3rd, 800) and Ellen Wortham (5th, 400 hurdles).

Good God. It's "Great" job and "role" model. I hope you don't actually go to UT.

Not that it's important, but she's also very pretty. You could even say hot. All-around great woman. Great representative of UT.
