Florida has won the SEC All-Sports Trophy for the 19th time in the past 22 years, according to a survey by The New York Times Regional Newspaper Group.
The Gators had a comfortable margin of 162.50 points to Georgia’s 133.50.
LSU finished third overall with 130.0. Tennessee was fourth at 119.50 and Auburn fifth at 115.0.
In the men’s division, Florida was first, followed by LSU. Tennessee was seventh.
Florida won the women’s scoring as well, with Tennessee second.
Points are awarded for each sport’s finish in SEC competition with 12 points for first place and one point for last place.
Florida won six SEC titles during the 2008-09 school year: football on the men’s side and soccer, outdoor track, swimming, volleyball and softball on the women’s side.
Tennessee’s only championship was in women’s indoor track. The Lady Vols won the SEC soccer tournament, but the championship is awarded to the regular-season winner.

There is a reason the SEC quit officially awarding the trophy a few years ago. After it became apparent that UF had no competition, the league decided not to continue with the award. Thanks to great newspapers like the KNS, we all still get to celebrate the title anyway.

If a team reloads, it usually means they come back the next year and compete, not suck like Florida did these past two years. Like I said to your boyfriend gatorz5, I totally understand why your so offensive and irritable. I would be too if my team missed the Tournament two years straight and lost to UT four times straight. Plus, im pretty sure that Georgia beat Florida in the regualr season for their only SEC victory of the year. Be prepared to get swept AGAIN next year.
