RALEIGH, N.C. — Kentucky recruit John Wall has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor and entered a program for first offenders which could lead to having his record cleared.
Wall, 18, pleaded guilty Wednesday to breaking and entering.
Wake County Assistant District Attorney Phillip Cowan said that under the terms of the plea, Wall must complete 75 hours of community service, pay court costs and program fees and stay out of trouble for the next six months.
The 6-foot-4 point guard at Raleigh Word of God signed a national letter of intent to play at Kentucky last week. He was charged after police found him walking out of a vacant house in Raleigh. Wall and two other teenagers were cited.

However, when I look at ESPN's headlines and 3 of them are 1) MAJOR allegations alleged against Memphis under Calipari, 2)Gillispie sues UK for $6 million and 3) UK recruit pleads guilty to misdemeanor, I can't help but smile. Dude, you need to look at the record books. Bruce Pearl is not a horrible coach. He's taken UT's program and turned them into NCAA tourney teams every year. We haven't even sniffed that tourney in i don't know how long before then. Don't compare UNC to UT. Same as in football. You could have Vince Lombardi at UNC as a football coach and still not be more than an also-ran in NCAA. Even Butch Davis with all the recruits can only get you so far. You still haven't been in a BCS bowl game. YOu still haven't been ranked in the top ten. You still haven't even really beaten anybody ranked in football, have you? Bruce Pearl took a nobody and, first year out, got a #2 seed in the NCAA tourney. Two years later a #1 ranking in the season, beating #1 ranked MSU at their home. That's a good coach.
Although not a fan, personally, I think the Tar Heels Rule and i agree with you.
