For sale: Gillispie's house listed at $1.5 million

LEXINGTON, Ky. — His Realtor doesn’t know what former Kentucky basketball coach Billy Gillispie plans to do next, but he has listed his house for sale.

Asking price for the 11,800-square-foot house on one acre in Jessamine County is $1.5 million.

Realtor Whitney Pannell met with Gillispie, who still lives in the house, to sign a contract on Tuesday. She told the Lexington Herald-Leader she didn’t ask what his plans are. Gillispie was fired from the Kentucky job last spring.

Lexington appraiser Ben Campbell says in the last 12 months, just three Jessamine County houses on multiple listing service have sold for a million dollars or more. There are 22 on the market.

The house has a circular stone staircase, six bedrooms, six full baths and two half-baths.

And neither do olfactory nerves.

Maybe Ol' Calamari can use it for a SAT practice facility....but if the house has a free throw line and hoop they can take that out, Calamari doesn't believe in such sillyness
