Tennessee is expected to host two official visitors this weekend: Ahmad Dixon and Marques Pair.
Dixon is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound safety from Midway High School in Waco, Texas. He has been committed to Baylor since May but has begun evaluating other schools after they came calling last summer. UT, Oklahoma State, Alabama and Auburn are thought to be in the mix.
Pair committed to UT in June. The 6-6, 260-pound offensive lineman is from Sumter (S.C.) High.

Add 30 pounds of muscle on Pair and he will be a beast. Go get him.
GahLee writes:
Dixon is a good prospect, Pair is a work in progress.

What about that QB Scroggins I thought he was invited this weekend? Can we kiss our chances goodbye?
CoverOrange writes:
I was in Waco a couple months ago. Baylor has a brand new stadium the size of a really nice high school's. And there is a really good cajun restaurant down on the river. Otherwise, it was hot. Not much else.

I found this on ESPN.com
"SEC associate commissioner Charles Bloom told ESPN on Wednesday that SEC commissioner Mike Slive was traveling. But he is aware of Meyer's comments and reviewing them. Bloom said there would be an announcement made on possible punishment Thursday or Friday."
VolinCalif writes:
No punishment is expected, just send him a letter like he did Kiffin and the others. Let us see that all is fair.Yeah.... It will not happen.

VOLfrFL...thanks for the link. Everyone should check it out. It got me really fired up.

Dixon is one of the best of the best safety recruits in the country...right at the top of my wish list with LBs Jeff Luc and Christian Jones. He would be a great get for the 2010 Class.

That was an informative article. You have to feel good about what's hapenning on the Hill. When the coaches are literaly turning away some quality players you know something special is happening. Good to hear about Willis, Miller and Smith being so close. Hope we land Jones because of that friendship.
Slive is a joke!!! Go Vols!!!!!
GahLee writes:
He is going to Auburn, already been announced, just making it official. Just a soft verbal.
SmokeyHound writes:
you have absolutely no life.... hey everybody lets go on to other peoples websites and screw it up!
no we vol fans wont cuz we have class

if dyer commits to auburn - whats gonna happen to seastrunk?

Who cares the kid really doesn't want to be that far away. If he gets here he probably will transfer in a year.

You are correct. Dyer will very likely make a commitment to Auburn if he has not made a silent one already. I have been trying to find out if he actually took his visit last weekend and what he thought, but I tore my ACL last week and have been preoccupied.
And, unfortunately, I cannot go the big game tomorrow against our biggest rival, but for those of you who want to see Michael play, the Little Rock Christian vs Pulaski Academy game will be on ESPNU Friday night. I live 1.5 miles from the stadium and I cannot go.
I do wish he would change his mind because he has the ability to be a dominant running back.

Has the big O lineman Stone visited yet?
ClassicVol writes:
I'm telling you the whole league is worried about the Kiffin. They know their time is short. Kind of like sitting on death row for them.
VolFanInTheBoro (Inactive) writes:
Miller and Willis were at the South Carolina game
DC_Vol writes:
Correct ClassicVol,
Also Meyer's blunders with the press are turning recruits away. Recruits see that Meyer has no integrity.

Thank YOU! Very good read, indeed. I know that is a Vol-oriented site, but it is great to be reminded, as if we needed it, what a hard-working recruiting staff we have. Reel 'em in, guys! More fuel for the Lane Train!
smokies_old_soul writes:
welcome to knoxville guys !!!
there is nothing in the country like the game day atmosphere at tennessee. that atmosphere will only get better when you sign on to be a Vol.
ProwlinAndGrowlinSmokeyDog writes:
I don't agree that we whine at all for that matter!!!! I guess we will have to change his mind somehow, and if any coaching staff can do that, it's our coaching staff!!!
ProwlinAndGrowlinSmokeyDog writes:
I was gonna respond to DaMan because I am sick of him posting these irrelevant psots..but not after your post..THAT WAS HILARIOUS!!!
Voluvr writes:
I think we might have missed on Scroggins by putting so much love on Heaps first. It was obvious he was in the bull pen. We might have underestimated the mormon connection with Heaps.
However, Scroggins and Tennessee are still a good fit. Here he would be pro in 4 yrs. with 1 or 2 titles. At USC, he'd be getting his first start in 4 yrs.....maybe.
