Tennessee has stepped off the gas, but it hasn't slowed down the offense.

Pulling its defensive starters has helped get Memphis going though.

The Vols and Tigers traded a couple touchdowns in the third quarter, but there's little in doubt heading into the fourth with UT leading 56-21 at Neyland Stadium.

Jonathan Crompton threw for 331 yards and five touchdowns before giving way to Nick Stephens, five different players have receiving scores and Eric Berry has both an interception and fumble recovery in the domination so far.

New to your board but have followed it for quite a while. Some of you make me think, others make me laugh, some just really irritate me! But this new team is too exciting (present interception and situation excepted-sigh)for me to simply sit back and listen anymore; there's too many good things to say. Looking forward to the debate, discussion and input as the season just gets better! GBO!!!

These 3rd stringers are gonna need some work if they can't handle the Tigers. Glad to see the Kiffins are giving these young guys some practice!

Good game guys! Congrats to JC on a monster game.

Bob Kesling is absolutely horrible. There will never be another John Ward and i don't expect Kesling to be. But at least practice at your craft. On a 4th quarter kickoff by Memphis he says "a high driving spiral...um, i mean an end over end kick". Then on Memphis 1st offensive play after the Interception in the 4th qtr he says "it's a run to the right across the 10 and up to the 15..and they mark the ball at the 21" WTH happened to the other 6 yards? Let's please find a radio personality that fits the spirit of our sports programs...too bad we didn't get Mike Keith before the Titans lured him away.

I just hate that our team defensive rankings will now plummet with this performance by the 2nd/3rd team. The bright side is they are getting experience.

Glad to see some of the depth getting some playing time. Not quite the results I'm sure CMK & CLK want but improtant to get playing time with all the injuries.
Still a great win and a good start to closing out the season indefeated in Nov.
Keeping it Real
Go Vols!!!

56-28 UT!!! not to happy with the 2nd and 3rd team D. but hey, thats the reason they're the 2nd and 3rd team. at least they got some experience and have something to learn from. Jonathan Crompton played lights out tonight. 5-4, winning record baby! i know it was against lowly memphis, but i'll take a four TD win any day.

Even though the 2nd and 3rd team allowed a lot of yards and a few score, the first team made it through with no injuries.

Talk about the "anti-Fulmer". You think ol' Phil would have brought in his 2nd and 3rd string D, and watch them give up 28 in the mid. of the game, regardless of the circumstances? It's a strange new world were in folks.

Beat the Rebs. Go Vols!!!!!

With so many of the lower end Top 25 teams losing tonight, can we break into the polls tomorrow???? Any thoughts from the Vol Faithful?

What's more frightening is those are the players Fulmer left us with.

Many of us remember one of John Ward's most endearing, if frustrating, traits. When UT had the ball, the call would go something like this -- "The tailback gets the hand off -- he spins, he twists, he's still driving, look at that effort!! A one yard gain."

Or when we were on defense, it would go "The tailback gets the ball, and BAM!!! What a hit!!! What a hit, ladies and gentlemen!!! A real slobernocker by Tennessee. A gain of 18 yards on that play."

I love him and miss his calls. No, there will never be another John Ward.
