OXFORD, Miss. -- Judging from the score and some of the final stats, Ole Miss' 42-17 win over Tennessee here Saturday had the earmarks of a full-scale disaster. The 25-point loss was worse than the margin of UT's previous four losses (20 points).Ole Miss gained 492 yards to 275 by the Vols. The Rebels rushed for 359 yards, held UT to 99 on the ground.
