Former Vol Watson tests positive for swine flu

OAKLAND, Calif. — Golden State Warriors and former University of Tennessee guard C.J. Watson has tested positive for the swine flu.

The team said Monday that Watson is being treated for the H1N1 illness and that the team is taking precautions mandated by the league.

Watson will not be with the team for the Warriors’ games Tuesday at the Cleveland Cavaliers or Wednesday at the Boston Celtics.

No, no, no, KNS. Not PC to say "swine flu". It is the flu officially known as H1N1. Sayeth the knights that formerly said "ni".

Him, and about a million others. How bout toothaches? Any of those out there?

H1N1 is so rare...I'm glad we now know.

Great! The CDC in Atlanta spends months trying to get people to stop calling it the "swine flu" and now the KNS goes and puts it in their headline. I can see all of the pig farmers in East Tennessee wringing their hands and worrying about the coming backlash.

My mom and dad had it, my pregnant wife and I spent a gameday at their house 2 days before they knew they had it, neither one of us got sick, they are perfectly fine a week later....no biggie if you don't develop complications, that is when you get in real bad shape.

WTF... Is this a CDC website or a gosh dang football one? Did his tummy hurt? Awww... In other news, what teh h e double L is going on with Janzen?

Big deal. I had it last week and I am seeing at least 20 patients a week with it.

utfpmd writes:

By the way, my patients call it the "Hiney flu" from the H1N1 designation.

newtonrail writes:

I had it, and refused to dignify it by the name swine. Just called it the Pig flu.

In a similar story Tennessee's mascot, Smokey, ate too many dog treats Monday afternoon and pooped in the house.

His owners say Smokey has been put on a strict diet of cottage cheese, but should be ready for the Vols' game against the nerds this Saturday.

Lane Kiffin refused to comment on the situation until further evidence about the real cause of Smokey's "green apple splats" is released by the mascot's veterinarian.

I thought I had pig flu 2 weeks ago. Every time I farted it smelled like a Buddy's BBQ on a Saturday night.

With respect to CJ, since when did someone getting the flu become a KNS story?
