McCluster among SEC players of week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Mississippi running back and receiver Dexter McCluster, Florida cornerback Joe Haden and Auburn return man Demond Washington were named Southeastern Conference players of the week.

McCluster set school records with 282 rushing and 324 all-purpose yards and scored four touchdowns in a win over Tennessee.

Haden had 10 solo tackles with a sack, an interception and two forced fumbles in a win at South Carolina.

Washington set Auburn records with 202 kickoff return yards and 229 total return yards in a loss at Georgia.

Offensive lineman honors went to Alabama guard Mike Johnson, while defensive lineman of the week was Kentucky tackle Corey Peters.

Georgia running back Washaun Ealey was freshman of the week.
