Tennessee sophomore basketball player Shekinna Stricklen has been named SEC Player of the Week after leading the Lady Vols to a 74-65 win over Baylor on Sunday at Thompson-Boling Arena. She scored 25 points, grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds, dished out five assists and had three steals.
The game against the Lady Bears marked Stricklen’s third career double-double. Her 25 points were one off of her career-high 26 points against Auburn last season.

Did we have a player of the week last year?

Have I mentioned lately that Shekinna rocks!?

Strick had a great game, but how can you name a player of the week at the beginning of the week? Yes, I think she deserves it, but aren't there other games this week as well?

Way to go, Shekinna. Good show.

Shekinna deserves this honor! She has always been a good player and this year she has improved and she will be an all-american.

Seems only fair to me. Shekinna will finish as one of the all-time great LVs if she keeps going at this rate, especially if she helps them get another championship. I don't see any weaknesses in her game at all.
