KNOXVILLE — It's the controversial, hypothetical tough question no other radio host in town wants to touch, and I've asked it on the Sports Page about four times over the past few years.
If you were UT athletic director Mike Hamilton, and you could only keep one coach between Pat Summitt, Bruce Pearl or Lane Kiffin, which one would it be?
Pearl was the slam dunk winner the years....until Tuesday's show.

Considering this is a football town, is that really surprising? Kiffin brings in more money to UT considering the football program, Pearl is energetic and has revived the basketball program, and Summitt is the face of the University of Tennessee whose success will never be matched.
Being a season ticket holder to all three mentioned sports and I love all three coaches, but I'd have to go with Summitt, because she has never disappointed the University of Tennessee and has been faithful and remained classy for 35 years.

p.s.: after pat hangs it up, and i'm talking decades after, they'll still be talking about her with the same reverence used in talking of babe ruth.

I have come to notice that MOST of the aricles that KNS sports writers write are pointless... They seem to take a story, change a few words or sentences and then post it as a new story with a different headline

IT DOESN'T TAKE PEOPLE LONG TO NOTICE THAT. THEY ARE SORRY WRITERS EVEN COMPARED TO THE LEAF CHRONICLE HERE IN CLARKSVILLE, AND WE AREN'T EXACTLY TALKING THE NEW YORK TIMES IN THESE PARTS.
