Vols have at least three official visitors this weekend

Tennessee will host at least three football prospects for official visits this weekend but more may be in the works.

Here are the confirmed visitors:

Corey Lemonier: A classic speed rushing defensive end, Lemonier is considering several scholarship offers. He has taken official visits to Florida State and Illinois. Nearby Florida and Miami are always worth watching.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder is from Hialeah (Fla.) High School. Lemonier has also said Auburn and LSU are in the running.

Calvin Smith: Lemonier’s teammate from Hialeah, Smith has said UT and Illinois lead for his services.

“It’s mainly down to them,” the 6-4, 275-pound defensive tackle told Orangeandbluenews.com earlier this month. “They are the ones that will make it in the end. Florida State has kind of fallen off with me now.”

Jacques Smith: UT’s first commitment of the 2010 class, the standout from Ooltewah is finally taking his official visit to campus. He should know the surroundings. He’s been to more games in Neyland Stadium than ESPN this season.

Smith is the News Sentinel’s top prospect in the state.

Will be cold on the FLA boys being it is at night...

If Illinois and Tennessee are the leaders for Smith, then they are the leaders for Core, package deal if I have ever seen one.

Would not take Smith just to get Corey, Corey is good but we already have a great D-Line class and could use that scholarship that Smith would occupy on somebody who would actually play.

What does this even mean? Geez.

JacqueZ is a huge pickup. His numbers are amazing. However, I do wonder why he got suspended in his final game at Ooltewah. The official word was he got into a fight at practice. Fights happen all the time in practice. Practice, we talking about practice? Other than that blimp, he seems to be a great kid.

Really? Corey is a 5*. I would take a 5 and 3 star package all day long. If Smith was not on the radar he wouldn't be invited here anyway. Smith may have a big upside and just be lesser known.

He's the one that the trolls told me that wouldn't play for a .500 team(or something that)..I just took it for what it was worth:0!!!

thats what i like to hear! This class will be stacked on the line. Round em up CLK!

yes harris will be a great addition. the more incredible tallent we get for bruce to get his hands on, the closer we are to that final four. Also, the closer we are to making that grease faced sleezeball, "calamari" up in kentucky realize, that if you actually coach your great tallent, you might win the big game and deserve some hype! cheater.

Can we recruit anything other than D-ends? We are pretty set at that position maybe we could get some D-backs or more O-line, maybe even an extra QB or a tight end. We even need LBs, let's quit using up scholarships on D-line!

I live just a few miles away from him and went to watch him play, He can punch Kiffin in the face I don't care he has talent and hasn't robbed anybody. This kid is a player!

Isn't Green the kid who has both parents as UT alum. I thought we were in his top two with UF. What happened?

Retract my statement, one site has him as a 0, which is just no evaluation, but the other one I seen had him a 4 star.

D-line = possible o-line,cullen will come, i think LUC is the silent.Has anyone kept an eye on Tyler Bray? His numbers are impressive, went undefeated, he is tall, only needs about 20lbs. he will be better than scroggins, especially because jesse will be watching from the bench for at least 2 years. This kid will do fine. The stolen gayterd commit this year is Elam. GBO! TENN-34 yomommadors 9

The 2010 class so far is conspicuously lacking in DBs. Dixon is among the very best in the country. And the only kind of sticky fingers he has are the kind that make tackles and take INTs. I hope he makes a home at Tennessee and becomes a great Volunteer.

I think this was a mixup, James Stone was the one who dropped us from his top 5!

No doubt! I was wondering if anyone else was noticing the absolute relentless negativity spewing from KNS's keyboards.

That's why I read stuff elswhere cause KNS just cannot bring themselves to be objective....I only come here to read comments for comic relief and the ignorance for the same...and an occasional discussion.

Go Big Orange!

a "speedy" DE could be converted to OLB in CMK's defense but they have to be quick. agree with you though that DE looks good however would like to see a little more help at DT.

Be nice...

Southern Illinois is a lot like parts of Tennessee--rural with a bunch of good, hard-working people. And a whole lot more Tennessee fans than I would have imagined when I moved here to teach 14 years ago.

Go Big Orange, wherever you live.

I guess it doesn't matter where your feet hit the dirt as long as your heart remains in Big Orange County.
