Quinton Aaron and Sandra Bullock star in "The Blind Side."

Phillip Fulmer, former Tennessee Vols head football Coach, said he just played himself in The Blind Side, the new Tim McGraw/Sandra Bullock football flick.

"We didn't have to go in and learn 40 pages of lines or anything," Fulmer said. "I've been in front cameras enough over the years I think I was comfortable enough."

The movie is a true story of how the Memphis-based Tuohy family adopted NFL player Michael Oher when he was homeless teen. Oher's football skills made him a hot commodity among college recruiters, and Fulmer said he was one of many competing. Because that's what happened in real life, Fulmer said it made sense that he would be in the movie.

I don't understand how Philip continues to put a" I am great spin on losing". He lost out on recruiting great player's the past few years and also lost a lot of games too. He continues to live his life in the past.

Guys...Coach Fulmer is gone from the TN football program, at least directly. Let's all find something else to rail on. BTW, he brought us a NC after a long drought, and when folks were tired of Coach Majors, his drinking and loss of players, CPF was the second coming for UT fans. Let it go.
CPF, you were and are still a great in the annals of UT football history. I am proud of what you once did everytime I walk down Phil Fulmer Way on the way to a game.
Is Sandra Bullock still a hottie in real life?

He had the number 3 recruiting class in the nation when he was fired.

Phil's problem was never recruiting. He had issues with offensive coordinators (the last one so bad it cost him his job) and some dicipline issues over the years. I always respected the fact that he tried to put the kids first.

He was great and is a great man. However, the game did pass him by. He wasn't treated harshly, a lot better than his play on Johnny Majors.
Never go again? You're assessment doesn't match up with the opinions of those that make a living doing it, but thanks for playing.

Here we go, another day and another comment from this idiotic UF fan that has no life - if he wasn't so pathetic, he would be funny.

I find it ironic that anyone that supports UF would question anyones integrity.
dthenc-why not take a look at the following web-site, which documents Saint Urbans pathological need to lie in just about every situation:

Also, his pathological need to lie to recruits:

reyem060809-no, what we have are trolls like you that have nothing more exciting going on in their lives than to troll another teams web-site.

I understand that you are a Gator fan, so try to keep up. I was responding to another sad, pathetic UF fan that finds it amusing to come on to a UT web-site and say something about our coach/team.

In case you didn't notice, there were two links referenced. I find it very ironic and comical that a gator fan would question the traditions of UT and ND. UF will never attain their level of tradition.

Also, if you didn't like the ND link about Saint Urban's integrity, how about this one from the Orlando Sentinel:

Wait a minute.A head coach doesnt have anything to do with a team winning but is responsable if they lose.

Wow.

wow, good one :-) The man gave his all for the Big Orange as a player, assistant and head coach. I'm not going to bash him unless he starts making comments about the current staff on his talking circuits again. It was time for him to go. He wouldnt go Voluntarily so he was fired. I never got over Majors coming off his death bed to knock us out of the first SEC Championship game in 92. Never got over Fulmer blowing the game against an 8-3 LSU team in the SEC Championship game in 2001. That was the highwater mark of the Fulmer regime. Let's honor his past accomplishments and get behind the future of UT football. It looks bright and the trolls know it. I doubt they are on UGA, Kys, USC or Vandy's site 24/7.

Fulmer did his stint. It was time for Tennessee to move beyond him. Coaches in this age of college ball that can survive 10+ years at the same program are becoming fewer and farther between. Yes, CPF did SOME good work we all appreciate MOST of it. The majority of us do wish him well...

You don't give a tinker's damn about Phil Fulmer. You only use him to try to denigrate UT's football program and the current coach. To say that he was mistreated in Knoxville is absolute BS. He made millions and millions of dollars - not to mention a parachute of 5 million - while performing at a mediocre - at best - level for the better part of a decade. If only someone would mistreat me that way.....

He is a decent guy and I like him, too. And I'm glad he got a chance to stretch a little in this movie role.
