Chaz Green's decision isn't coming anytime soon - despite his best intentions.
The 6-foot, 290-pound offensive lineman from Tampa (Fla.) Catholic High School once intended to make his decision during his senior season this fall. That will no longer happen after his official visit to Tennessee.
The Vols made a good impression on Green's official visit this weekend
"I don't really have a top school but Tennessee is right up in the mix," said Green, who is also considering Florida, Southern California and Ohio State.
Green said he was impressed with the Vols on Saturday as they drubbed Georgia 45-19.
"It's cool being around here with the game day experience," Green said.
Green said he also felt a connection to UT's players.
"I like the players a lot," He said. "They're down to earth. I can relate to them a lot."
Not Just Visiting: Offensive lineman John Cullen was reportedly close to committing to UT while on his official visit this weekend.
"I didn't commit," Cullen told InsideTennessee.com. "I definitely considered it. It was very tempting. The trip definitely lived up to expectations and beyond. Now I need to take a step back and make sure that I make the right decision."
The 6-6, 280-pound offensive lineman from Fullerton (Calif.) Community College said he'll also visit Oklahoma, probably Miami and possibly Auburn before he makes a final decision.
"Tennessee is definitely now No. 1 in my book," he said. "I want to play at the best school possible. At the highest level, the SEC is about as good as it gets."
Utah was once in the lead. That was before Cullen watched the Vols on Saturday.
"I was truly impressed," Cullen said. "It told me a lot about the program, including the fact that it's headed in the right direction."

If I am an elite offensive lineman I would get my verbal in to Tennessee quickly. There will be great opportunity to play early and often. It is very obvious that this coaching staff has instilled focus, tremendous work ethic and most importantly discipline to our program. By their example through motivational coaching at practice and the workman way they are recruiting the current player are buying in and coming around. The improvements in the class room, effort on the field, and concentration by the players to avoid penalties are all signs that the Vols are headed in the winning direction. Please keep in mind that the coaching staff is in the honeymoon period and it is easy at this time. If the strong discipline is maintained by the coaching staff over the next 2-3 years our beloved TENNESSEE VOLS will be a NATIONAL POWER!!! GO VOLS!!!

The Vols should reap benefits from the game.
I didn't get to comment yesterday on this but I heard E.Berry on the radio kick-off show.
He spoke with humility about being able to play the game.He also spoke of team being first and foremost.
I knew he was a great player, but i wasn't aware of what a fine young man he really is.
Vol fans should be very proud..Sorry for the long post....GREAT GAME and Go Vols!

Excellent way to approach your decision on your collegiate career guys. I can assure you that you will not regret one second of playing your football career at the University of Tennessee and earning a respectful degree. Here is the chance of a lifetime to have a remarkable collegiate career in the classroom, in the community and on the football field. Come on guys to Knoxville, Tennessee and wear the Big Orange loud and proud.

I believe the Vols have a couple of private commitments from OL's. I believe UT backed off of Irvin before he backed off of us.

To all you guys, come to Rocky top imedate playing time, the VOLS will have more games like they just played in the future, in 2010 and 2011.

In case you dont remember, it hasnt been that long since the Zook years...or have you completely suppressed that memory? Keep talking, Gator, but you have less than a year to talk down to us...the dice was already rolled this year, with even a victory by the Gators seeming like a loss for them, and starting next year when you visit us at Neyland, the days of Florida beating Tennessee will be over.
We have the coaching staff (unlike your head coach who cant hold on to any of his assistants, it seems like), we have the recruits (unlike your recruits who cant seem to stay committed it seems like), and we have the program going in the right direction (unlike you who are losing Tebow to graduation).
Keep talking, but if you think a John Brantley quarterbacked Gator squad is coming into Knoxville next year and beating us, you are in dreamland.
And yes, you ARE afraid. It is either fear or retardation that can explain your addiction to OUR fan board...if you want to admit that you are retarded, go ahead...but I still think fear is the right option.
Go Big Orange!

Ps you got owned by that video. You can continue to make fun of UT and Tennessee, but this woman got her MA from UF, and represents Florida in the US House of Representatives. Plus, she is looking to take over Mel Martinez's Senate seat. Tennesses produces idiots like the Nobel winning Al Gore. Florida produces idiots like Corrine Brown. you lose.

Thanks for the link. I'm glad he said his visit went really well. However, it is important to remember that these high-profile recruits today are well-coached to say only nice things about the places they visit. Why create any heartburn before the fact? I don't know if the kid will come here or not, but I am antsy enough about our basketball recruiting that I worry any time a guy visits here and DOESN'T commit. Keep your fingers crossed!

We'll argue with your logic when we see some. About all I've seen from you is opinion, which has no place in logic. As for your little recruiting questionnaire, all the answers would be "yes" when it comes to the school and this staff.
