The calendar might not look quite right, but the time slot fits.
Tennessee and Alabama missed the Third Saturday in October one more time, but with the Vols seemingly back on track and the No. 2 Tide rolling, they at least still have a spot reserved as the marquee game in the SEC.
CBS announced its choice Monday to feature the traditional rivals in the national broadcast when they meet on Oct. 24th at Bryant-Denny Stadium, setting the game for kickoff at 3:30 p.m.
The Vols (3-3, 1-2) should be well prepared to step back in the spotlight. UT pounded Georgia at home on Saturday and will have an extra week to prepare for Alabama thanks its open date.
The Tide (6-0, 3-0) will be busier over the weekend, hosting No. 22 South Carolina before the Vols pay a visit.
