Tennessee senior Chris Lofton signals to fans as he comes to the bench during the final minutes of play against South Carolina at Thompson Boling Arena. Tennessee won the game 89-56, completing the regular season with the first outright SEC championship in 41 years.
Former Tennessee All-American Chris Lofton is settling in with his new basketball team in Vitoria, Spain.
"I've played in two games,'' Lofton said via an instant-message chat session with the News-Sentinel on Monday night. "It's a challenge, and you know that's what I live for. This is the best basketball overseas.''
Lofton played only one minute in his first game, which was Caja Liboral's third of the season.
In his last game (Sunday), Lofton played 19 minutes, making both of his two-point attempts and hitting two of his three 3-point attempts.
Caja Liboral is off to a 4-0 start, and Lofton's not complaining about anything.
"We've got a lot of veteran guys who can score, and it's my job to play my role,'' Lofton said. "It's a little different, not playing as much, but I'll try to be effective with the time I get.''
