Tennessee senior forward Tyler Smith is one among 50 players listed on the watch list for the 2009-10 Naismith Trophy, which goes to the national college basketball player of the year.
Smith is also on the John R. Wooden Award watch list and is on the preseason All-SEC first team.
The Naismith list will be cut to 30 in late February, then to four in March.
