It's probably the 4-way chin straps.. most players jerk the rear snaps off after a series and even some plays.. sure they get worn out and easy to pop off.. if they didn't pop off, I wonder if the blow wouldn't be even harder though?

Good post Shopgoss! I am so tired of people on here being so callous and undermining this young player and others. It is unhelpful to Tennessee and speaks poorly about all of us as fans. He had a bad game at UCLA, but Florida was considerably better. I think the offense will show us a lot more this week. The receivers need to go out and make some plays! Not just the QB, BOTH. IF, JC has another poor outing this week, then I'm pretty certain we will see more of NS and perhaps even Lamaison. I'm pulling for ALL OF THEM to do well. GO VOLS!

Well, Jones DID catch the pass and he was, what, six inches out of bounds? What Jones should have done was edge down toward the goal line, parallel to the sideline, so he could come forward for the ball if the DB tried to make the play. I bet what Jones was thinking was that he was behind the DB, out of his field of view. If he HAD come toward the line, the DB would have seen him and tightened the coverage. Even so, as I said, Jones did catch the ball and the DB didn't make the play, so it was immaterial that JC took longer than he ideally should have to deliver the ball.

Its sad that LK does not play to win. Players like Eric Berry will not put up with Lane's attitude very long. The real Vol Nation will figure this out soon. UT had a real shot at beating the Gators. And that would have been a valid reason to talk some smack.
