Improve the passing game?
Hmmmmmm,,,
Throw the ball to a WR who has run the correct route inside the field of play in a timely fashion.
Holler after a TD.

Show AllScouting Report on Seantrel Henderson
How we scouted: Film footage, In-person visits, Game settingby Barry Every - 08/11/2009
SpeedBlue ChipSizeAs Good As It GetsStrengthBlue ChipAgilityBlue ChipFoot QuicknessBlue ChipOn the Hoof: Physically one of the biggest offensive linemen in the country. Henderson will remind some observers of Ohio State offensive tackle Mike Adams. Upper and lower body structure is in proportion and he has the powerful base to blow anyone off the line of scrimmage.

Lane you are acting like Jum Tressell that all is good and " i will always defend my QB."
Rememeber your comments about BrandonWarren, you threw him under the bus. Let Stephens run with the ones all week and see what happens it is onluy Ohio Univ. who almost beat OSU in the shoe last year...still put Stepehns in at QB

If Nick is going to be the man next year at qb, wouldn't it be a good idea to get him some play time. 5th yr boy is not coming back so send him on his way. But I understand they know he won't make it to the NFL so they are doing him a favor cause he stayed, but he knows he won't cut it either and that's why he's a 5th yr man! Beat it crompton!
PineyFlats_Vol writes:
Amen. Makes sense to get Stephens in now. Crompton = worst QB in UT history.
givehim6 writes:
Remember we have 3 QBs on scholarship, if Kiffen wants to play Crompton set up a rotation that way UT will not be so predictable. That's what has been UT's problem on offence for years. We all hoped we would bring a breath of fresh air on offence, but we seem to be back at the same place.

Ol' TJ firmly on the LaneTrain. But CLK is dead worng about the QB situation.

It's starting to sound like Charlie Brown's school teacher talking....wa waa wa waa, wa waa wa waa.....I dont understand a thing he says concerning QB....
Although I will say I understand if you're gonna make a change then it is a change that you are going to stick with....
So get to it already!
Go Big Orange!

If you are one of the fans that are unhappy with Crompton, you really need to read this article. A friend sent this article that is a great read. I have NEVER seen an article dissect a football issues this well:

Good article...but I'm still not buying it. If you agree with the argument made in this article, does that mean every other team with even a decent QB has offensive players that play flawlessly? Receivers run wrong routes, OL miss blocking assignments, RB's don't always pick up the blitz. It's part of the game and an average quarterback can usually adjust and in some cases even make a positivie play. Crompton doesn't have the ability to adjust real-time. He checks to a 2nd receiver and if they're not absolutely wide open he chucks the ball 12 rows deep in the stands...or throws an interception.
Tired of the excuses for this kid. He's terrible. Is he all we have? Until Stephens gets a chance in a game situation we will never know.
And for the record, this is not meant to be a personal attack on Crompton. He appears to be a great kid. He earned his degree, works hard, he's a good teammate, etc. The game at this level is simply too fast for him.

At least give Stephens a try every now and then for damage control to keep Crompton from setting a record Tennessee would not be proud of. Most Passes Intercepted Season - 34 - John Eckman, Wichita St., 1966
