Volunteer Village is a wash out

If you were thinking of going to Volunteer Village in this downpour, you can make new plans.

Heavy rain forced the cancellation of all functions at the Toyota Vol Village located on the Humanities Plaza on campus. Vol Village was scheduled to open at 3 p.m. today and close at 6:30, according to the UTSports.com Web site.

Misnomer. Terf doesn't favor fast teams, grass doesn't favor slow Big 10 teams, rain doesn't favor either. Conditions speed up, or slow down each team by the same measure.

Voluvr: No biggie, but I believe Ohio U. is a MAC school, not a member of the mighty Big 3-Little 8 (also a math-challenged bunch).
