NASHVILLE, Tenn. No need to send that orange blazer to the laundry, Bruce.
You've already been taken to the cleaners.
Bruce Pearl's Tennessee Vols were undressed 90-71 by Vanderbilt on Tuesday night at Memorial Gym, an undeniable indication that UT's No. 12 national ranking was a ruse.
Where, pray tell, was the team that beat top-ranked Kansas a month ago?

Looks like there is a problem with letting people involved with the law back on the team has caused some hard feeling on the team.We did win with out them.

Lets hope the zebra's are a little less biased in Lexington. 43 FT attempts to 21 and Vandy was much more physical. McBee got an intentional while both Ogilvy and Ezeli got away with a couple of intentionals apiece... Not saying that cost UT the game, but it's a momentum killer when you're watching the other team drop 37 of their 43 "free throws" and some of those were "free".... Just sayin...

Not only did McBee get the intentional foul, but I believe he left the court with a bloody lip on the play. Just some more of that "Memorial Magic" they talk about in Nashville.
I've seen this scenario 25 or 30 times over the years when Tennessee has played at Vanderbilt. The Dores are going to get 20 more free throws than Tennessee -- book it. Still, it's hard to whine about this one, because Vandy has the better talent right now.
Do you suppose Stallings is still peeved at the way he was treated when Doug Dickey was in his home, prepared to hire Stallings, then took a cell phone call from some other 'hot' coach while he was in Stallings' home? Stallings made the right choice not coming to Tennessee, then waiting one year and going to Vandy. I guess this is about his 13th year at Nashville. He is a good coach.
...and if you're expecting to get more breaks / less bias at Lexington than at Nashville - keep on dreaming.

That implies a win greater than the line. More realistic is lose the 10. I'd call that the worst case scenario. Yours is best case. I wouldn't bet your way after seeing this team in last five games

Hope we see the team that beat KANSAS on SAT. We got it put on us at Vandy so now they have to come out and play hard and start off by being ready to play from the toss-up. GO-VOLS!!

If this team does not get their big boy britches out of the clothes hamper, Saturday will be worse than wash-day Monday at the laundromat in Lexington.

Ouch! That was painful and embarrassing. Got to use that bad taste as motivation for Kentucky. These guys are capable of beating the best. Look what they did to South Carolina after South Carolina had knocked off Kentucky. Got to get their game back up to that level.

hate to say it, by the Vols will be one and done in the tourney.

Headline say's "Pain May Continue"....it should read "Will Continue"...plus I felt enraged at the refs last night..like I wanted to kill them....what's wrong with me?

Fortunately Vandy can't take their high school gym on the road with them.

Everytime we lose, its "where's the team that beat Kansas?" and when we beat SC last sat, it was "there's the team that beat Kansas!" Can we please change to "where's the team who beat south Carolina?" please? The coverage of our basketball Vols is getting really predictable and lame. If we win its "well, we'll see" and if we lose, its "I told you so."
I'd have a hard time consistently playing well too, if that's the best I could hope for.

As Joe Dean, a former color commentator on SEC games used to say, "They will be playing a little STRING MUSIC in Lexington KY on Saturday". I remember a 70 point thumping one of Pitino's teams put on us up there. Joe would turn to fellow commentator John Ferguson and say, "The Wildcats are awesome John". He was usually correct except for the Ernie and Bernie years.

Vandy and Kentucky have always been the sweethearts of the refs, because they feel intimidated by their fans. Remember the refs covering Alabama and Florida during football? Not much difference.
