UT's Hall has minor foot surgery

Tennessee forward Kenny Hall underwent a minor corrective surgical procedure on his right foot Friday at UT Medical Center.

The sophomore is expected back at full speed in four weeks, UT said in a release.

The 6-foot-9 Hall averaged 3.6 points and 3.0 rebounds as a freshman in 2009-10.

He averaged 12.4 minutes and started three games.

Hate to sound a negative note, but I've never known of anything "minor" regarding the foot of a basketball player that remained so.

"Back at full speed in four weeks"...?

If Vegas offered a betting line on this one, the over/under would be set at 5 weeks, 3 days. The odds in favor of subsequent "re-injury" or "complications" would be 3-to-1.

(But hopefully, God will see fit to humble me for my brash predictions by bringing Kenny back 100% with no problems.)
