The start of spring practice is a little more than a week away.

Tennessee has now nailed down exactly when it will end.

The Vols will wrap up Derek Dooley's first spring with the Orange and White Game on April 17, and the school announced today that it will be a 2 p.m. kickoff. UT will open with the first of 14 practices on March 18, officially going through Dooley's first workout with the team at 4 p.m.

Attendance was maxed out last year, so that won't happen. I think they only allowed 50,000 or so in due to construction and turned away several people. It will be the same max number this year.

Wrong, they'll let more people in this year, and the press release will conveniently omit the fact they capped last year's game at 50,000. And in no way do I disagree with this. Anything to make it look like the team has more support under Dooley than Kiffin is fine with me.

P.S. I have thought about posting this for a long time, but thought it might be stupid. The spell check on my computer recognizes the name 'Dooley', but puts a big red line under the name 'Kiffin'. Something about that is inherently hilarious to me...

Back in January I called UT Sports office and they told me the O&W game would be on April 10, so I went ahead and made work plans on the 17th so I could be at the game on the 10th. I blame Lane Kiffin for this problem. So you guys cheer for me since I can't be there!

99, let's just say that Hooker has been informed of his insufficiencies. He is an inpatient being treated for post-Kiffin-separation-depression. We are praying for his recovery. There will probably be occasional relapses which will be handled appropriately. We will pass on your kind regards.

The defending SEC and National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide will have their A Day game shown live on ESPN for the 3rd year in a row. April 17,
3PM, expect another 80K plus in attendance. There is no interest in UT outside of Tn. Alabama once again is a national attraction.

Alabubba who gives a S--T! Will any of the 80,000 have any teeth? No wait they all are getting their dental work done in the auto department at WalMart!

Win the SEC and the NC still doesn't fill that void does it? You still have to come to Tennessee to see how real men play football! I'll see you at the Orange and White game...I know you can't miss it!!
