Here is some reaction to the news that USC football Lane Kiffin, who coached Tennessee last year, is being paid a reported $4 million a year.
That number, which puts Kiffin among the highest paid college football coaches, was disclosed in an HBO Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel segment on last night. However, ESPN The Magazine's Bruce Feldman reported that number is inflated based on "sources.". So far, USC hasn't disclosed the contract details. Either way, it's well above a lot.
With Kiffin, USC is Ugly Snark College | SFGate,com: Critics will whine that Kiffin's salary is too high for a young (35), unproven, scandal-plagued nimrod. If we could add a 4th jewel to the triple crown (Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and the Belmont Stakes)and call the 4th the Troll Derby, this would be a fantastic race. Big qx would be........which troll would win? We have some outstanding "nags" such as Farragut, the famous BigGunzz or whatever, 281 Vol, Volfanclinton, and several others.
