Orgeron breaks foot

Ed Orgeron

Ed Orgeron

Southern California assistant coach Ed Orgeron suffered a broken foot last week at practice and was on crutches Tuesday.

"I was just walking Thursday and heard a snap," Orgeron told reporters.

Oregeron was an assistant at Tennessee last season, but left the Vols along with former coach Lane Kififn.

“He broke his foot," Kiffin told reporters. "It’s sad to see. It’s really neat to watch him, it was classic Orgeron (during pre-game against Virginia last Saturday). His foot was broken during that game and he still ran up the tunnel with a broken foot because he refused to walk, even once nobody could see him. So now his foot is worse so he’ll be out even longer now, but he showed how tough he was.”

Kiffin added, “There is a difference between being tough and smart.”

How in the world did he break it?? By jumping up and down while he is beating his chest and making grumbling noises??? That wouldn't surprise me.

No Lame... he showed how stupid he was.

He's the defensive line coach. Seriously, did no one bother to Google his title?

He broke it coaching...that's interesting.

I would have expected him to break his foot one of two ways. One, by jumping up and down while beating his naked chest for recruits. Two, by dropping a case of Red Bull on it.

But coaching...?

Any chance you could roll them bones and have Fast Lane break something a little higher up?

Just like Galen Hall and Ron Zook belong to Florida, and Mike Price and Mike Shula belong to Alabama. Every school has coaches they would like to forget.

Well stated, Witchy. Speaking of karma, you didn't have anything to do with Raney's text at Florida, did you. That issue seems like a combination of karma and voodoo.

I thought this was Fla/Tenn week. I guess the KNS finds it more important to cover the Beverly Hillbillies.

Who really thinks that Oregon would have scored over 40 on the Kif... Good or excellent teams last year struggled verses the Vols then there was Ole Miss...OK

He probably broke it by slipping on all of the BS that comes out of his mouth. How can you tell when EO is lying......his lips are moving.

See my earlier post...He broke it by jumping up and down beating on his chest as he was grumbling.

Agreed this isn't news in TN anymore. I'm not even sure it's news even if he was still at UT.

I really do not want to visualize it. There are many possibilities...not good, not good at all. They are all just too awful.

He was drunk during practice, got pi$$ed about team effort and kicked a brick wall. Wall won

I agree with some of the posts. Let's move on KNS and let the papers out there report on their hero.

Wow shocking... Kiff and Orge still can't seem to get anything right. Said he broke it walking and then kiff says he refuses to walk.

Juzkruzin writes:

He just found out that Brice Brown had enrolled at K State, not USC like Kiffin had promised him he would be the starting RB at USC after, what he thought was a dumb new coach at UT and would release him on a twitter request and Big Ed dropped his box of Krispy Cremes on it. I just hope how soon the word Kiffin is removed from the language of East Tennesseeans or at least the ones that post here (me included)!!

It was stuck in his A-s, he broke it trying to get it out.

One MORE TIME, WE have heard enough about that regime. Stop posting it, nobody will read it any way. Are we stupid? No, we want to hear about things that matter. Ogerami is not part of that equation, not a broken bone, how he goes to the bathroom or disengages his clothing. To whom can I try to convey this message?
