LB Dontavis Sapp breaks left finger, should be ready for Montana

Recently converted Tennessee linebacker Dontavis Sapp broke his left ring finger in practice Monday, but should be ready for the season opener against Montana.

He underwent surgery Monday night.

Listed as a safety but playing primarily on special teams, Sapp picked up five tackles in 11 games in 2010.

So long as the injury bug holds to minor things that only affect practice we will be ok, right? RIGHT? Also, maybe the cops should check out witch doctors drawers to see exactly what they are full of. Wonder what the lamp shades are made of.

Yeah WD, WHAT BONES or WHOSE BONES NEVER LIE?
On topic, I hope this doesn't sap Sapp's early season. We will need him.

Ring finger, not ring-around-collar.

He'll be fine, lets not make a big deal over a broken finger.
Didn't Ronnie Lott tear his finger off during a game so he could keep playing?

Had to be a linebacker again. Enough already OK.

Why does it always seem that injuries occur at positions where you're already thin?!? Never fails! Thankfully he'll be back before the season starts.

WD - did you forget to put your voodoo dolls away again?? Please do so... those things are dangerous. :-)

Remember last year when 2 starters on the DL were lost to the season with torn Achilles' tendons after the first couple of practices? We're way ahead of the game at this stage as far as I'm concerned.

As we all know, injuries are part of football. as long as they are minor injuries, we will be fine. G.B.O.!

So in order to get the stats from today's scrimmage on this site, I have to join the "Special" pay for info site. And although that site advertises seven days free, you must provide a credit card number just to register for the free days. Way to promote the program...home town newspaper! I'm outta here...on to other sources.

I do not think any one is scared, I'm just wished our linebacker would not have any more injures, or any Vol.

Ahh, football. The sound of pads and the snapping of finger bones...A badge of honor IMHO. Get well, young man.
