ORLANDO, Fla. — Tennessee landed its first commitment of the 2012 class late Tuesday evening when 6-foot-8, 190-pound wing Derek Reese of Olympia High School in Orlando, Fla., committed to the Volunteers.
Reese played AAU basketball this summer for the Florida Q6 Rams and performed extremely well in the month of July. It was those performances in front of college coaches that earned him an offer from Tennessee, and he was excited to join the program.
