Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin announced on Friday that Jarnell Stokes has signed an institutional offer of financial aid and is set to enroll for classes, which begin on Jan. 11.
"Jarnell is a wonderful young man to be around and he comes from an exceptional family,'' Martin said in a press release. "It's great for our program to get a player of his caliber. But it's just as important to bring in someone with his type of character and substance.
"He has a great approach to life and the game, and he's clearly a special talent.''
Stokes, the No. 11 ranked recruit in the nation according to Rivals.com, graduated from Southwind High School in Memphis on Thursday to clear the way for his early enrollment.
Stokes, an honors student in high school who announced his commitment to UT on Thursday, will wear the No. 5 for the Vols.
