Prospect Rankings

247sports: 4-star

Rivals: 4-star

Scout.com: 4-star

The skinny: Arnett surprised many when he chose the Vols over the school he grew up rooting for as a child, Michigan State. He evaluated his decision based on playing time and saw UT as a place where he could see the field as soon as the season opener. Arnett’s skill set works as a great complement to Justin Hunter and Da’Rick Rogers, as he’ll likely be placed in the slot where Gerald Jones thrived in 2010.

Did anyone hear Arnett's comments? He said he chose TN because the coaches promised him nothing. They told him he would have to earn his spot. He said all the other schools were making promises that he would start right away. He said that turned him off. He wanted to earn his playing time. Wow! What an outstanding young man.

I like your post, but one small correction. It's a checkerboard (singular) not checkerboards. It's just a pet peave of mine. Sorry. :)

Go Vols!

Welcome DeAnthony! Now start studying Gerald Jones and how great he was at moving the chains. We are going to need you to do the same thing.

I'm already a fan of this fine young man.

A kid that really wants to learn it and earn it will be a work-a-holic in every way and the NFL will be calling his name down the road.

With Tino also coming in and adding to the good WRs that we already have plus having the QB's that can make all the passes I think I see something great coming soon.

A wide open "O" with a passing attack that strikes fear into everyone and can score fast and often.

That will also open things up nicely for our running game and we also now have the RBs that can take advantage of those openings.

Never forget that our OC trained Drew Brees and he's kind of partial to a wide open passing attack to open up the running game.

Dooley and company just keep making things look better and better for our Vols and I love it.

VFL...GO BIG ORANGE!!!
