The skinny: Williams was originally disheartened by the lack of attention from the school he grew up next to, Florida, but quickly moved on when he garnered offers from all across the country. He chose the Vols over Oregon in October and remained firm with his commitment despite renewed interest from the Gators. New Florida coach Will Muschamp loved Williams’ potential, but it was too late to sway him away from UT.
