The skinny: Jackson was a longtime commitment to Miami (Fla.) but grew wary when Randy Shannon was fired at the end of the season. UT hosted Jackson on an official visit during the season and he returned shortly thereafter with his family on an unofficial visit. His stock rose during the offseason and helped him pick up a fourth star with two scouting services. He is one of the Vols’ six early enrollees.
