TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Top offensive line prospect Cyrus Kouandjio has opted to play for Alabama instead of Crimson Tide rival Auburn.
Alabama received a faxed letter of intent from Kouandjio on Saturday.
Kouandjio of DeMatha High School in Maryland is regarded as the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle and one of the top five prospects overall. He committed to Auburn on national TV Wednesday but never sent the binding letter of intent.
Kouandjio had posted on his Facebook page earlier that he would play with his older brother Arie, a redshirt freshman offensive lineman, at Alabama followed by “ROOLLLLL TTIIIDDDEEE!!!”
The Facebook post drew hundreds of comments in the first hour.
Alabama’s recruiting class was already rated No. 1 nationally by Rivals.com.

Is this now the time that Auburn will up its bid?
Sorry. Too easy. Just couldn't resist.

Deep pockets for such a poor state.

I can understand wanting to play along side of his brother. I was under the impression that the AL lineman was on defence because of what was said on ESPN during signing day. Who knows?

Blood was thicket than Tiger allure...I mean did Auburn really think he was theirs? Think this was a case of baMa getting a swing at Auburn knowing his commit on tv was a game sabini was throwing at Chizik. He was baMa all the way with big bro already there. Just my humble speculation of baMa using aubie for spite...just not over that 2nd half collapse to the national champions.

It sounds like AUBURN exceeded their salary cap and had to release the kid to Alabama. Bama is like the Cowboys, they seem to figure a way around their salary cap.

Who cares what you think, your'e trespassing.

Slow down lil fella(?) 37 posts in 2days for a new(reinvented) poster child. That name is catchy at that....Question is how do you know he wears a dress? Are you like sHEN4_ that likes baMa boys in their uni's? Easy now it was a little scary for me to have to draw into the light the similarities ya see. Also sad to see you drawing(with an attempt at humor)attention to young mister Douglas' plight with alcohol. No one should be doing that should they? If he was your son I'm sure you wouldn't like it either. Or how about a dear friends son or daughter? Sad story that hopefully will have a good ending if he wakes up and gets the appropiate help spiritual as well as physical.

What religious group will you bash next? Maybe Muslims, Christians, Jews. Again you are trespassing and no one cares what you think.

Well if we knew what a Haram was I could answer. OOPS did you mean harem? How sheik of you. Also they don't do haram's(HAREM) anyway. Stop blending tv stories about oil country sheiks and HAREMS with folk living in the states whose lifestyles don't even remotely resemble each other. Hope that clarified another mystery 4u. Congrats mstr. baMa fan on victurry this aft.

Psycho? Watch out for those stretch marks! Really having to work to put in psycho group. Both ewe and baMabeaCher prove the saying that "an elephant never forgets." How appropriate 4 a baMa fan. Now 4u ure just a fan of some other team than the Vols as best as we can tell. Again PSYCHO? Cult member? If i'm a cult affiliate boy there are some really bad dudes and dudettes out there ewe should be watching instead of me. Also I'm not from Waco ask Janet Reno.

Their you go bama, you went from bashing religious groups to bashing women. Next you will get racial. You even like to think of men as women according to your post. You are truly an Alabama fan.

Looks like Bobby Lowder's check bounced. Guess it's hard for the Barn's boosters to funnel that money with the IRS and FBI bearing down.
On a side note, I love Waffle House! Grilled Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt Plate, scattered, smothered, covered, and peppered!

Maybe the Bammer Cheaters won't hack up a 24 point lead to the Barners again now!!!!
How did that hairball taste!!!!

Auburn needs to learn that you ALSO need to pay the HS coach!

I guess the ESPN commercials pay off afterall. Or maybe it's the obsessive barbequing that Bruce is addicted to. I've been brainwashed by ESPN!!! Seriously though, Alabama has an elephant for a mascot, boring red school colors, and is somehow BTW known as the tide at the same time. Our mascot is a hunting dog, a group who helped out a troubled state, and has school colors that are actually unique. Ever wonder why we've pulled so many recruits throughout the years with no major violations?...it's because UT has something different...meaningful program tradition. And all with no ESPN mafia.
crockett1836 writes:
I do think it will be interesting to see these piranas attach each other for the next few years. Chizik won't let this Lineman thing rest for a long time. Stealing recruits at the last second makes people happy.
crockett1836 writes:
Before I sign off here, need to make sure I tear down the red pachyderm tsunami (that's a big tidal wave bama fans) one last time. Does everyone realize that Saban said money was not a factor and that he wouldn't leave Miami? And just a day before he accepted. Somehow Alabama found enough money from the FFA or 4H (sorry, just think of farming when it comes to Alabama) to prepare a contract.
crockett1836 writes:
Did I seriously say attach? I need glasses.

Did Bama close their site down? Seems like you are spending a lot of time on the BO Site. I bet you are like all the other Bama's, KY, AU, FL. Vandy, etc, you are all closet Vols. It is OK you can come out of the closet now, we will take you, just keep from trying, without any sucess, to bash the BO. You know the best thing that ever came out of Alabama? An empty bus!!

Look, this entire ordeal or whatever was a huge pain in the arse! I hope this is not the future of these 5 star Guys waiting days, almost a week until they finally sign is not the norm in the future. I think the GUY was going Bama all the way. When does this CLOWNey Guy finally sign? Tomorrow?
