Tennessee freshman wing Jordan McRae has been reinstated to the team after missing the past five games while suspended for using inappropriate language on the team bus during the Vols’ trip to Connecticut for a Jan. 22 game.
Men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl announced the reinstatement today, and McRae took part in practice. He will not, however, accompany the team to Lexington, Ky., for Tuesday’s 9 p.m. game against Kentucky.
McRae, a freshman from Midway, Ga., will take part in all team-related activities, including travel, after UT returns from Kentucky.
McRae has played in nine games this season, averaging 5.7 minutes and 2.0 points per game.

What about Hopson?
BigVolFaninSC writes:
At first I thought that Hopson did NOT have a high ankle sprain, but one of the dudes announcing the game the other night said it WAS the high variety! Which is correct?...because the HIGH ankle sprain takes longer to heal properly!

Hoping Jordan can get himself prepared for a chance if it happens. Hang in there young man and your time will come. Go Vols!

He took a page out of Calapari's cussing book and called someone a eM eFFen selfish loser.
Just kidding, of course.

And I read a kid from Vanderbilt got an NCAA suspension for 2 games for BUYING a parking space pass
(with his own money) from a team manager. The kid got into trouble when he went to the school's
affairs office to explain that a parking ticket
he received should have been assigned to the team manager. The NCAA's hammer came down swiftly on that one.

I agree. Especially after the abject failure of our present back-court rotation on offense in the Bama game, we could use a little more quickness and athleticism coming off the bench. However, if he gets his chance, maybe Saturday against Florida, he should remember to play a little defense as well.
brokendownoldvol writes:
Like he would get to play anyway. Last I checked two walk-ons play before he does.
