Don't think this worked for very long. We are totally inept! I've never seen a team miss as many 4 foot shots as this. There is no structure, very few plays, and too much standing around. Once again Goins is providing zilch. Scotty is nowhere to be seen.

Can't get the blog what % are we shooting??

So much for this article. Tobias has been on the bench most of the first half, when we needed him out there playing. Agree with jhayes, Goins is STILL TERRIbLE, and Scotty has been a no show in the first half. GBO!

This team is so hard to watch. They are so scared of getting the ball slapped down their throat that they fade away on rebound shots from 4 feet. Then they wonder why they never get to shoot free throws. Like they would make them anyway.

Is it really "newsworthy"?

Tenn. can't shoot but they can foul real good.

Why does Pearl Jr. look like a basketball genius today?

Harris on bench again, during this double digit run. At least he CAN drive to the basket and draw a foul. Looks like we're fittin to be blown out.

Because he has a better BB IQ than anyone else out there.(excluding Harris because he is a freshman).

I think the no structure could be that we have not developed any roles and a standard rotation. Maymon is now playing, Hall is now playing and they haven't played all year. Mcbee was our backup pg for the last 2 games and now Golden is back. No chemistry on the floor leads to no structure and standing around. Last year everyone knew their role and rotation.

If there is a category for the most substitutions in a game we would lead the nation.

I hope the refs don't start changing because sending us to the ft line in a tight game is the best defense Vandy can play.

Nice win Vols

Scotty is now playing like a man possessed! Keep the line-up the same! I think Maymon has some toughness!

Man big Brian was definitely out of it mostly....That flu thing did a number on him....Maymon? Wait until you refine your offense before taking those 15' fade a-ways!!

Why didn't McBee play tonight? Good game guys!! GO VOLS!

Where are all of the Steven Pearl haters. Best game of the year for him. Sorry call on the steal he had. Hopson looking good. Good defense. GO BIG ORANGE.

You have to wonder why Pearls teamn are so damn inconsistent?
Great win though

dlobh writes:

I would like to express my sincere apologies to Bruce Pearl and the Vols for my doubts that they would win in Nashville. They won with heart - on defense, on the boards, at the free throw line, and by just being tougher than Vandy.

GBO!!!

lomas98 writes:

When we limit the substitutions and don't have lineups on the floor that are questionable, this team can play. Hopson finally decided to take over the game. As bad as we have shot free throws, they owned the last 2 minutes and made them. We still have a lot of issues, but this team is tough and doesn't back down when they are challenged.

Play D like that second half and they beat KY. and a lot more teams..
