Diver Tori Lamp makes nationals in second event

Tennessee diver Tori Lamp earned a third-place score of 272.85 on Sunday at the USA Zone A National Preliminary Meet in Christianburg, Va., to earn a spot in the AT&T National Diving Championships on Aug. 9-14 at UCLA.

On Friday, Lamp finished fifth in the 1-meter board to earn a berth at nationals in that event.

Meanwhile, UT’s Jordan Mauney finished seventh in the platform event with a score of 276.30 to miss out on a spot at nationals. The top five divers in the event normally advance, but due to a pre-qualifier who competed, the sixth-place finisher also earned a spot in nationals.
